Red Velvet Donuts

Donut think I can name a better snack than my protein donuts 🍩❣️[~65 cal 8g protein] If you watch my stories you know protein donuts are pretty much a daily endeavor and this red velvet version really takes them up a notch 🤩 soooo fudgy and moist (sry I had to) and so much protein too!!

Recipe

(Makes about 6-8)
(Donut)
✰ 1/2 cup pumpkin purée
✰ 1/4 cup applesauce
✰ 1/4 cup sweetener (I used monkfruit)
✰ 1/3 cup egg whites
✰ 2 tsp red gel food coloring
✰ 1 tsp vanilla
✰ 3 tbsp cocoa powder
✰ 1/4 cup cassava flour (sub oat, GF, all purpose, almond)
✰ 1 scoop 1st Phorm Level-1 Protein in Vanilla Ice Cream
✰ 1 tsp baking soda
(Frosting)
✰ 3/4 cup 0% fat Greek yogurt
✰ 2 tsp white chocolate sf jello-mix (optional but makes it thicker)
✰ 3 tbsp powdered sugar (I used monkfruit)
1. Preheat oven to 350 F
2. Mix wet (pumpkin, applesauce, sweetener, egg, coloring, vanilla) and dry (cocoa, flour, protein, baking soda) in bowl and combine
3. Pour batter into donut pan and bake for about 20-23 min or until toothpick comes out clean
4. While baking, make frosting by combining all ingredients.
5. Let donuts cool, frost, and top, if desired.
