Protein bday cake French TOAST to a new school year ππ₯³π€ [~250 cal 40g protein] Have been loving French toast lately and always love anything bday cake so combining the two only made sense. This is one of my most requested recipes so far so here it is π came out sooo amazing and a great way to start the day off β£οΈ
Recipe
(Toast)
β° 2 slices bread (I used natures own life honey wheat)
β° 3/4 cup egg whites
β° 1 tsp bday cake extract
β° 1 tsp cinnamon
β° dash sweetener
(Frosting)
β° 5/8 cup Greek yogurt
β° 1/2 tsp cake batter extract
β° 1 tsp jello-o sf pudding (optional but makes it thicker)
β° dash sweetener
(I used Caryβs sf syrup and sprinkles for topping)
1. Preheat pan to medium
2. Mix egg whites, extract, cinnamon, and sweetener
3. Dunk bread in egg whites and let the bread absorb as much of the egg whites as possible (may take a few flips).
4. Place bread on pan and flip once bottom has set. Keep flipping until bread is golden brown. Bread should have puffed up a little cause of the egg whites
5. Mix frosting ingredients
6. Frost toast and enjoy π
